Webdunia Interview Questions [May 2015]

Hi! I recently appeared for Webdunia's interview. Here's what happened.

Interviewer: What is your area of expertise?
Me: My pro language is C#. I have developed a few windows apps. In fact, my final year projects were also based on C#. Then I explained my projects to them.

Interviewer: Okay. Were those desktop apps or mobile apps?
Me: They were universal apps, which means they can run on both devices.

Interviewer: You have mentioned python on your resume. How good is your knowledge there?
Me: Only to a basic level. I told them that I had done one course on python and worked on a simple project but I'm aware of the common syntax and features.

Interviewer: It seems that you have a good hold on Object Oriented Programming. Tell me, what is static variable?
Me: I explained it in my words but you should look for accurate explanation on net.

Interviewer: I see you have a certification in Microsoft. Why Microsoft?
Me: For this, my answer might have sounded rather silly. I said that our college is a partner and the exams were conducted in the campus at lower costs.

Interviewer: Okay. How did you prepare for the exam?
Me: I told them that the given materials were enough and I had prior knowledge in the subject so that helped.

Interviewer: What do you know about cloud computing?
Me: Again, explained it in my words.

Interviewer: Which cloud would you choose to work on and why?
Me: I'd choose to work on Microsoft's cloud Azure as I have already worked on it before and I like it.

Interviewer: Really? What work did you do?
Me: Nothing productive. It was part of a Microsoft course I did. Then, I explained to them how I deployed virtual machines and tried on the different features.

Interviewer: What do you know of HTML5?
Me: I gave a two-three line explanation but they weren't switching to the next question. It seemed that they wanted to hear more on it.

Interviewer: Have you heard about the term 'Big Data'? What technology is used there?
Me: I explained whatever I knew about Apache Hadoop.

Interviewer: It seems that you have worked only with Microsoft technologies. What if we ask you to work on something different?
Me: I told them that one of the reasons that I mainly focussed on Microsoft was because I was a Microsoft Student Partner and you get that driving force when you belong to a team like that.
Otherwise, I love my branch and would very passionately pursue any new technology that you would want me to.

Interviewer: Alright. Do you have any questions?
Me: No.

Interviewer: Are you sure?
Me: Yes.

Interviewer: Okay. Thank you!
