The legendary 'Pixel Painter',
Hal Lasko, who created unbelievably awe-inspiring paintings in MS Paint is sadly no more amongst us. Here is the announcement made on his
Facebook profile.
With a heavy heart...On Sunday, July 6, 2014 Hal Lasko passed away. It was just a few weeks shy of his 99th birthday.
Hal was surrounded by his family as he left this world after dealing with complications of a stroke that happened just a few days ago. Up until the last few hours - The "Pixel Painter" was still talking about painting and his projects.
We know he is already busy planning his next work of art - a man who found beauty in the smallest objects - we can only imagine the divine landscapes he will now see and experience.
Thank you for helping us show Grandpa Hal how truly talented he was during this last year. He was amazed and touched by your kind words and appreciation of his work. He spent his 98th year traveling near and far to discuss his artwork, saw his paintings appear in Microsoft's Superbowl commercial, and attended his first solo gallery show.
We miss you Grandpa Hal, thank you for showing us how to live a life full of passion and inspiration.
